Dr Archer

Mentor Night in Toronto July 15th 2012. After rehearsals and video shoot / stills It rained buckets outside and quenched the heat Dr. Natalie Archer is a dynamic Toronto dentist who began her dental career in 2001 She has managed to have a career and a family while building a career as a hospital dentist. Natalie always felt that you had to earn your education! She even had two very important lessons;
– Make your negatives into positives.
– Be completely honest.

Melani ChongMelani Chong in fashion and beauty for over 15 years, Canadian Ford Model and mom of two children, Melani Chong developed a personalized skin care line called Soya Boutique. These organic products are a natural skin care collection that is useful for the whole family! But, Melani wasn’t always into modeling and chemistry, she was an athlete as a teenager! Her dad was the one who actually opened the door of opportunities for her. She learned many lessons throughout the course of her time so far, such as;
– Rejection is good, it pushed you to do better.
– You have to let passions grow.
– Take action to develop passion which will drive the action.
– Integrity to dream results in passion and dreams coming true.

Melani`s quote to go by is, `Wisest is he who knows what he does not know.`

Katrina Hadden is a health and wellness specialist, size 12 model, life coach, motivational speaker and the author of the best-selling self-help book, Making It In High Heels. Known for her positive energy and contagious smile, she helps her clients get better focused to achieve their goals and dreams . Katrina Hadden Life Coaching for Athletes has been a life coach for over eight years, specializing in Stress Management, Personal Development, Work-Life Balance and Health and Wellness. Katrina wasn’t always so positive and knowledgeable, at one point in time, she had a lot of self conscious issues. But after some encouragement from her friends, she got into the modeling business. Unfortunately, she was in the middle of what agencies were looking for, until she set her dedicated mind to making a difference! Sooner or later, she did it! Now there is so much diversity in the fashion business, but she did learn a few things along the way;
– Take care of your body and health.
– Forget about the world with a passion.
– Have the attitude of gratitude.
– Forgiveness, go to bed without being in any conflict.
– Life is too short for negative energy!

Katrina`s quote that she kept close for years from her mother is `Don`t Quit` by Jill Wolf.

  Alexandra Orlanmdo, Olympic athleteAlexandra Orlando Alexandra Orlando is a highly decorated world-class Rhythmic Gymnast. Her wisdom can be found inside the pages of an award winning book called In Pursuit of Victory. Alexandra has just published her second motivational book, Breaking Through My Limits: An Olympian Uncovered. At one time, Alexandra was not all she is today! She had to learn the face of rejection when she did not qualify for the Olympics as a teenager. But, this is when she learnt this was her real passion, and she pressed against everyone who told her she couldn’t`t do it. She knew from that point on, all of the work she put into it would be worth it! Alexandra learned a lot of life lessons through these times;
– You are so much stronger than you think you are.
– Felt that sharing her personal stories would be worth it, since it would help others feel more confident with themselves.
– On the podium is amazing, but it only lasts for a short time. Which is why all of the background stuff is even more important.

Alexandra had a great quote that stuck, `Don`t be scared of weakness.`

At the end of all of these presentations, I felt so inspired. They were all such great role models and the most important thing to me was, they all went through what we are feeling today! I felt absolutely honored to received a letter from Katrina. She wrote every single one of us delegates and it was the sweetest gesture!

My Look Good, Do Good, Feel Good video took place at the Tech Pioneer Residence in Kirkland Lake! My sister and I were invited to a BIrthday Luncheon for the month of June! We had such a great time, I even got to paint Margaret’s nails before lunch! It was such an experience to listen to their stories and talk about how they all follow my story in the paper. : )

I was actually invited to talk about my experiences through the pageants I have been in and the preparation! Unfiortunately, I wont be able to attend until after this MTC-W pageant 🙂

If I had the chance to go on my dream vacation with S Trip!, I would definitely go to Bora Bora in Tahiti! My destination would be the French Polynesia, Four Seasons resort! I had a hard time thinking of somewhere I would like to explore on a dream trip, so I figured I would ask around where others really enjoyed being or wanted to go! A co-worker had mentioned Bora Bora and I did some research on it. And from then on, I was blown away and would be so grateful to go somewhere so breath taking!

Link: http://www.fourseasons.com/borabora/services_and_amenities/

This place is so amazing that there is not only one feature that made me decide this is where I would like to go, it was a whole wack of things! For examples, I would be staying in a hut over the water! The view would be amazing from my place and the water is absolutely gorgeous! You would also be able to see different ocean creatures because the water is so clear!

Overwater Bungalows

If I were to ever go on this trip, I would most definitely bring long time friends with me! I would bring my sister, Stefany, and my other three great friends, Karlee, Shayne, and Justin! They have all been such great people that I would love to give them all what they really deserve.

We would definitely have an action packed time with, of course, some time to relax and absorb where we really were, whether that be on our patio outside our hut or on the beachy sand! We would definitely go boating to experience the full throttle of the clear water and swimming in the beautiful water, outside our hut as well as in the infinity pool. We would also explore the magnificent mountain close to the resort by hiking and ATVs offered. We would all get to experience the Holistic spa services that was all inspired by the natural resources of Bora Bora, as well as the breath taking view around it! We would even take advantage of the fitness centre, nothing would be better than getting on a good work out with such a view to keep you going!

Three pictures above: http://www.fourseasons.com/borabora/photo_and_video/

I believe that they would all enjoy everything that we did! But I bet they would all have their personal favourites! For example, Stefany would most likely love the spa, Karlee would probably enjoy the swimming the most, Shayne and Justin would both probably rather the mountain exploring! No matter what activity we would do, it would be the best thing we have ever seen.

If I ever got to experience this kind of a trip, it would be wonderful who ever I would be with. But I have to say, being with such good friends would make the experience even better. They are all such amazing people and they all make me happy, which could only mean, they would be the best people for the trip!

“Stable Hands”- A reality show that views the ‘back stage’ of horse and rider competitions. This program will show the interactions of not only the grooms and the stable managers, but also the people who have been chosen to work at the stables as a form of therapy for behavioural problems ranging from mild to extreme. This can be therapy for all ages and a whole range of personal problems. Of course, horseback riding is a whole other level of therapy, but we would be showing the progress of the therapy and what qualities that are built from behind the scene at the stables!

This therapy can be used to treat a whole range of mental issues, for someone who lost a loved one, people who are battling depression, for those who have been bullied or for anyone who feels like they are not enough. This therapy is a great way to show that someone really does love and trust you. Those two points are what most people who have a few behavioural problems long for and need.

The horses would be assigned to the participant specifically by the horse’s personality and would help the participant heal by tending to the horse’s everyday needs. The horse participating would be chosen specifically because everyone is different, and every horse is different as well! I would try to find the perfect match to help each one in the pair.

There would be many qualities built from this therapy that does not feel like an actual therapy! Trust would have to brew in order for the participant to be comfortable around such a huge animal. Responsibility would have to come in order to give feed and water to the horse every day, clean their stalls, sweep the barn, etc. Dedication would be another important quality that would have to be replenished in order to make the horse trust the participant and the biggest quality, courage, to build a bond with a giant, beautiful animal.

I would be the person putting all of this together in the show, side by side with the participants helping them bond with the horse as well as grow as a person. I know first hand how much of a therapy this really is. This has been a huge part of my life and it helped me obtain all of these qualities after they were torn down! I hope to do something like this in my future by helping those who have behavioural problems recover with the therapy that is more like love.

This relationship goes way back to when I was just a toddler,
Robin and Kim Connelly were friends with my parents!

The relationship grew stronger when I took part in our local pageant, Kirkland Lake Carnival Queen. We had so much fun and they were always very nice! And when I was granted the title of Miss Kirkland Lake, the relationship sky rocketed. We went to the winter carnival events together and we all had so much fun : )

They helped me so much with organizing fund raising for the Miss North Ontario pageant as well as this Miss Teen Canada World pageant.
I was pleasently surprised when I got an email from Robin asking if I wanted to be the Spirit girl for our radio station this summer. I am having a wonderful time spending time with them during the day as I work reception and getting the opportunity to go to all different kinds of events as the Spirit girl. I basically talk about the event on the radio to let everyone know how it is going and when it is!

This picture was taken this past Monday at the Second Annual CJKL Mixed Golf Tournament, where they let me do another fund raiser for Free The Children. It was at the end of the day and we were all relaxed and renewed after our busy, concert filled weekend.

On this Saturday, there was so much to do!

We have an old Toburn`s Mine which is a huge part of our town, and they were able to actually have guided tours, gold panning, live entertainment, a bbq, and an art sale! I only had time to stay for the tour, which was amazing, but then I had to move onto the next event.

Next, there was the Dixie North Swing Band playing live at our Rotary Bandshell! They played such beautiful music : )

And last for the smaller events, there was a Wine & Cheese at our Hockey Heritage North!

After a couple hours at home, it was time to rock the night again at a Serena Ryder& 54-40 concert! Once again, my sister and I got to work the merchandise tables!

The most exciting part of the night was when Serena Ryder decided to do autographs and pictures at our merchandise table! It was crazy, every one wanted to buy things to get signed and Serena was SO nice! She had conversations with us while there were gaps and she was just so genuine!

After everyone was gone, she asked if we wanted a picture and autographs : )
